SEARIDERS ANNOUNCES WAREHOUSE APPROVAL AS FOREIGN TRADE ZONE (FTZ)
In June, 2010, Seariders' warehouse was approved as a "Foreign Trade Zone" (FTZ). With this approval, Seariders can offer full international distribution services with the added advantage of duty free storage and re-export. The area within a Foreign Trade Zone is considered "extra-territorial to the United States" for U.S.Customs Purposes.
For companies sourcing products from worldwide markets and re-exporting or , for companies that wish to inspect, label, re-label, consolidate, de-consolidate or simply delay payment of duties until a product is sold, a Foreign Trade Zone may be an asset to your operation. Maintaining an inventory of foreign product within the FTZ that can be utilized to fill export orders minimizes U.S.Customs formalities and can reduce paperwork while improving cash flow due to duty free treatment of inventory.
Merchandise can be manipulated , re-exported OR entered into the United States at a later date.
